Our humble little board game shop is located directly north of the Steam Boat Arabia Museum, in the historic City Market. Being centrally located in the River Market neighborhood of Kansas City, Level One Game Shop is conveniently reached from anywhere in the Greater KC Metro Area. We carry the most popular board games, table top games, card games, miniature games, puzzles, and apparel with knowledgeable staff to help make recommendations and show you how to play even our most complex games.

Get ready for a night of community, q***r joy and nerdy fun! This year's GaymerFest is kicking off in City Market on Sunday June 28th from 5:30 PM–9:00 PM. Come join the fun by playing games from our free board game library, jump into a crazy themed game of the cult-followed social deduction game Blood on the Clock Tower, explore the q***r themed puzzle corner, and for the first time, come out to get a hoard of trinkets from our local Kansas City vendors!

We will be running a raffle throughout the event. The prizes are all donated by our most killer local KC businesses. 100% of the ticket sales for this are going straight to the donation, so make sure to get some goodies while supporting a wonderful organization!

All proceeds from this event will be donated to an amazing KC local organization called OurSpotKC. These magical humans help LGBTQIA+ folks with housing, resources, and much needed community and fellowship!

Join us for Free RPG Day at the Kansas City Central Library on Saturday June 27th at 11AM! We will have players try a "Speed-Dating" system to talk to GMs about the different games offered. Then we can play through the afternoon!

Tongue-in-cheek Character-builder about being fantasy's favorite mythical beast: the Dragon. Each player is a Dragon--a creature of Legend, whose power grows with the Names by which they are known.

The event will be Sunday June 14th 11:00AM to get a free experience of this upcoming game!

IV Studio World Tour for Altera was a blast! Last Saturday, we had 21 people show up to playtest it before it goes live on Gamefound. One of the tables tested out their 6-player expansion alongside the base game!
Altera is a dice bag building worker placement board game that has your faction compete to earn the right of Ascension. The game consists of simultaneous play, so the pacing is pretty snappy. The visuals and components are, as always, stunning to see. There are already some improvements in the works, and having this event definitely helps out with the process and development of the game.
