Fireworks City has been in existence since 1981 and was started by the Lloyd family. In 1993 Fireworks City made a move to its current location at which time our focus was to create a family fun environment for all of our fireworks customers. Since that time, Fireworks City has grown to be the largest outdoor fireworks retailers in the Midwest. Fireworks City offers a unique experience for childre

n and their parents to come out and enjoy several different games, rides and contests while shopping for their fireworks. Fireworks City has always been known for their free family fun environment. We have a carnival like atmosphere with inflatable moonwalks, giant slides and several other kiddie rides. You can’t miss us located at 151st and Holmes with our giant inflatable Uncle Sam, our one of a kind flagger and all of our signs along the road guiding you to the most unique fireworks spot in Kansas City!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY, EVERYONE! THE BIG DAY IS FINALLY HERE! 🇺🇸

The countdown is officially over, the sun is up, and the absolute biggest celebration of the summer is happening right now at the Fireworks KC tents! If you haven’t locked in your backyard show yet, or if you just realized you need a few more heavy-hitters to close out the night, today is the day to go big.

Our final, chaotic All You Can Grab shopping spree drawing is happening at 11:00 AM TODAY! If you want a shot at running wild through the tents on our dime, get down here right now to drop your name in the bucket.

What’s Happening on the Lot Today:

The Best Selection in KC: The tables are still loaded with over 5,000 unique items, but the prime cakes and artillery shells are flying fast. Don’t leave your show to leftover scraps!

Last Call for Family Fun: Bring the kids down to burn off that holiday energy on the inflatables, the gladiator ring, the bash ‘em up cars, and rides on Skippy the Train!

JULY IS OFFICIALLY HERE!

The countdown to the 4th is hitting overdrive, the tents are buzzing, and we are turning up the energy today at Fireworks KC! It’s a hot one out there, but we’ve got everything you need to stay cool while loading up on the absolute best stash in town.
Here is what’s going down on the lot TODAY:

FREE Ice-Cold Lemonade: Beat the heat with a refreshing, frosty drink while you cruise the tents in total comfort.

Endless Family Fun: Bring the crew down to enjoy our inflatables, the gladiator ring, the bash ‘em up cars, and rides on Skippy the Train.

“All You Can Grab” Entries: Every visit gets you closer to winning our legendary shopping sprees before the big drawings on July 3rd at 7:00 PM and July 4th at 11:00 AM.

TOMORROW (JULY 2nd 4pm-7pm): MEET ALEC BURKS!

Tomorrow, KC’s own NBA veteran Alec Burks will be live right here at the tents to sign autographs and hang out with the crowd! Bring your basketballs, jerseys, or favorite gear down—it’s going to be an epic day.

A Grandview High School graduate and longtime NBA veteran, Burks continues to invest in the community that helped shape him. Now, he’s returning home to partner with Fireworks KC, a family-owned business with deep Grandview roots for a special meet-and-greet celebrating the people, businesses, and hometown pride that make this community special.
