Cars that participate in the Rolling Ofrendas, trunk altars will have an opportunity to receive a trophy from Mattie Rhodes Staff and People's Choice. 🏆
Throughout the years, we have always recognized various symbols that represent Day of the Dead, such as monarchs, skulls, ofrendas, and marigolds. This time, we are excited to shine a light on our pets. According to legend, our pets are our spirit guides, or alebrijes, to the afterlife. Many people associate the Xolo dog breed with this idea, so we would love to see how artists interpret and portray alebrijes in their artwork.
Mattie Rhodes Cultural Center's Día de los Mu***os Celebration 2026
Celebrate culture, remembrance, and community by joining our custom vehicle displays during Mattie Rhodes’ annual Día de los Mu***os events.
Transform your custom car, truck, motorcycle, or bicycle into a rolling ofrenda honoring a loved one. Create a meaningful memorial using photos, marigolds, candles, and personal keepsakes as part of this community celebration.
All custom vehicles are welcome.
Spaces are LIMITED, we encourage arriving early. If you would like to participate and display your vehicle you are more than welcome! "5:30pm set up start time"
