Gorgeous knit top from Sewing Fashionista Chris S.

Chris says “Black/White Abstract Diamond Viscose Jersey Knit from Sew Much Fabric worked great for Simplicity S9385 pattern.  I decided to follow the pattern exactly for the black/white knit. I used Version A, with the pleated sleeve head, and extra long cuff. It worked out beautifully (altho...

Love this casual and chic dress that Paula wore to church!

This dress pattern is by designer Nikki Brooks “Beautejadore” for Know Me patterns…I love her designs, she has patterns before Know Me was established. It was a very easy make and the fabric is just easy to sew with and very nice quality. I also used the Sewkeys E Knit Stay Tape around th...

Sewing Fashionista Rosemary finished this lovely blouse!!

I finally finished this blouse. It was quite a journey! I would have abandoned it but the fabric is SO lovely. The pattern was in Burda Style 10/2020. I guess I just need more practice sewing georgette.

Sewing Fashionista Eileen says, "Burda 7/2020/114 was made with SEW MUCH FABRIC Artistic Viscose Jersey Knit. Knit Stay Tape in white was critical for the back neckline and shoulders stabilization. I modified the sleeve by lengthening it to a finished length of ten inches and not folding with a cuff in a contrast fabric as recommended in the magazine. Prints are a stretch for me in my wardrobe, however, prints are much more interesting to the viewers if you are on ZOOM calls. Surprisingly this knit top has extended more items in my closet; bright blue pants and a brown lace skirt. The knit top was easier to make than the lace skirt! Hope this top inspiring. You might find your next project recommendation in a time capsule in your sewing collection (like the black knit top) or make something outside your comfort zone! "

Sewing Fashionista Eileen says, "Burda 5/2013/105A was made with SEW MUCH FABRIC 11 oz black jersey knit. I made this pattern as a dress in 2013 and recently rediscovered the pattern and notes made to myself, “recommend top in black knit. Order knit tape in black from Emma Seabrooke.” Guess what? Rosalind has this knit stay tape at SEW MUCH FABRIC! The stay tape was critical for the neckline, armscye, and shoulder to keep the knit top from stretching out. Other tips for successfully sewing knits include using polyester thread, a stretch needle and sewing with a walking foot on the sewing machine." http://stores.smfabric.com/black-rayon-jersey-knit/
