The Word Wrap Company We make cotton, batted lap blankets filled with scripture verses designed to lift your spirits, soothe your soul, & encourage your heart. Malena Lopez

Our Story

The Word Wrap was created in early 2004 for our 19-year-old daughter, Stephanie. She had accepted Christ as her Savior when she was a girl, but still struggled with personal challenges and addiction as a teenager. God gave me the idea to take all the scripture verses I was praying for her and hand-write them inside of the blanket that I was making for her. As a parent it was so hard to watch her struggle with her problems and make the choice to leave home. Knowing that she had her blanket with her, covering her, gave me so much comfort. I thought of it as Jesus wrapping His arms around her when I couldn’t. In August 2004, Stephanie was in a car accident and died from her injuries a week later. From my grief, Word Wraps were born.

Delivered this colorful Word Wrap blanket today in San Antonio to a special 14 year old young lady who lost her mom 2 weeks ago and said her goodbyes today at a Celebration of Life.

She wants to be a marine biologist and her favorite color is teal 😊 I even found her a Bible that is teal!

It’s so hard to lose our mommas 😢 I pray she finds comfort in covering herself in God’s Word! 🙏🩵
