It’s a Japanese yatate, a portable writing set designed to hold both an ink container and brush so it could be used on the go.

This 1900s antique is made of painted brass and features detailed fish and bird motifs. Small, unusual, and a pretty fascinating piece of everyday history.

This set of Sheraton Revival nesting tables gives you three mahogany tables that tuck neatly together when you don't need them, then spread out when you do.

The carved details on this Chinese wardrobe are what caught our eye. Add in the original brass hardware and all that storage, and you’ve got a piece that’s as interesting as it is useful.

And it’s around 350 years old.

What exactly would you look at through this? 🔭

This vintage telescope setup dates from the 1950s–70s and includes two painted wood telescopes, including a large scope with an iron base signed Edmund Scientific Co.

It’s being sold as-is and is missing some parts, but as a display piece for an astronomy enthusiast or collector, it’s definitely a conversation starter.

Ever seen a dimmer switch like this?

This 1920s industrial rheostat was reportedly used in a movie theater and was made by General Electric. Cast iron, brass, 17 pounds, and definitely not your average light switch.

One of those pieces that makes you wonder what it looked like in its original setting.
