Flavors of the day: Raspberry Jam, Strawberry Raspberry Jam, Strawberry Rhubarb Jam and Christmas Jam. It’s small and dim but I see a light at the end of my canning tunnel.

I’ve been busy playing catch up in the kitchen and desperately trying to put away the canning gear for the season. Flavors of the day: Cherry Pie Jam, Cherry Jam, Brandy Old Fashioned Jam, Pear Jam & sugarless Blueberry Jam.

Projects of the week (so far): Pickled Beets & Sauerkraut. I made both Bavarian and Regular plus I tried something new, Apple Sauerkraut, the jury is still out on how I feel about it. This year’s kraut seems tangier and is so good.

The beginning of the last batch of salsa and it should be a hot 🥵 one. I grew a small amount of Butch-T peppers and a new reaper and I have enough to make a small, limited batch of…… Widow Maker salsa (Grandpa Ben named it) I will have it along Saturday morning the last Kaukauna Farmer’s Market. Pray for me while I make it. Ramona will be hiding under the bed
