Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge, located just a few miles from our hunting areas, is known as one of th

e top “Waterfowl” and “Snow Goose” hot spots in the United States. The goose and Duck Hunting in this area has been known for years, and continues to get better all the time with more and more waterfowl habitat being put in place. Every year, millions of snow geese, Canada geese and all types of ducks make their way here during the migration where hunters from all over the country try their luck at the sport.

Ol Sophie girl got an early start on this season last weekend in North Dakota. Had a great time chasing geese up north and got to try out the new shells from the fellas over and they definitely delivered. The did their job as well, putting the birds where we wanted em. Can't wait till we get to head back next year. Now we start to focus on this year's season here in Missouri. Won't be long until the blue rockets will be here to get us started.

It wouldn't be a without including a picture of our all time favorite pup. Wyatt isn't going to make anymore retrieves, but he had one hell of a run. Thousands of steps saved, countless birds recovered, always down for a nap, snack or some love. He is definitely one that will not be forgotten.
