WHO’S THAT BEA? 🐝
This Tuesday, step into the light and meet James, known on the streets (and trails) as Jimmybearunnin’. His official title is Shipping and Supplies Manager. His self-written job description? “Mostly just a friend to all.” Which is very sweet, Jimmy, but seriously—where is the packing tape?
Jimmy joined the TraderBea hive in March 2024 after meeting Bjorn during a casual game of disc golf. Little did Jimmy know, those weren't casual frisbee chats; that was a stealth recruitment trap. Let this be a public service announcement for everyone: if Bjorn starts asking about your weekend availability mid-backhand throw, you are currently in round two of HR screening. Run.
These days, Jimmy gets up before the sun to prep orders, organize inventory, and aggressively defeat logistical chaos. You see a box on your front porch; Jimmy sees an intricate, 14-step tactical operation and an imminent bubble wrap crisis. What makes him proudest? Keeping the whole operation running smoothly. He leads with unshakeable positivity, respects the crew, and genuinely loves the people he works with. (We captured that last part in writing, so legally he can't back out now.)
Outside the warehouse, Jimmy runs half marathons, cycles, plays semi-pro disc golf, and hangs out with his wife and kids. Apparently, after spending eight hours moving objects from Point A to Point B, his idea of relaxation is going outside and doing the exact same thing with his own body. And to be crystal clear: HALF marathons. We are heavily emphasizing HALF so we don't accidentally trick his subconscious into running an extra 13.1 miles on his lunch break.
His employee questionnaire also exposed a terrifying level of workplace integrity. When asked to invent his own dream title, he wrote “Fulfillment/Supplies Manager.” Jimmy. We handed you a blank line, zero supervision, and complete creative freedom. You could have been Supreme Commander of Cardboard or Lord of the Labels. Instead, you assigned yourself extra administrative accountability.
When asked which everyday task he could turn into a full-blown emergency, he didn't even hesitate:“Literally anything?” No clarification. No context. That’s either impressive operational versatility or a massive red flag we completely glossed over during onboarding.
He’s even offered to help shoot videos for the company! His suggested filming window? Right after Axe has been awake for 72 straight hours and just woke up from a basement chair nap. So Jimmy does understand production scheduling. He just prefers to shoot when the director can visually hear colors.
All jokes aside, Jimmy brings unwavering grit, high energy, and genuine heart to TraderBea every single day. Packages don't ship themselves, inventory doesn't magically restock, and our team is infinitely better off with someone who cares this much about the work and the people doing it. Jimmy, thank you for everything you bring to the table. We’re all glad Bjorn went disc golfing back in 2024.
Show Jimmy some love in the comments! (And if you’re in the building with him, watch your phrasing. Yelling "Can somebody run this real quick?" will send Jimmy 13 miles down the highway before anyone can stop him.
