HIDDEN GEMS: KELLER, TX 📍✨ Ep. 2 — Especially Sweet

This one means a little more than the last one.

Especially Sweet Gourmet Chocolate Boutique is a gourmet chocolate boutique in Old Town Keller — but the story behind the counter is the real reason to know this place. It's owned by Aspen and run day-to-day alongside her son Shane, who has special needs. In their own words: "Creating a chocolate shop was never our dream — but creating a space for Shane in the community was."

What started as one family figuring out "what's next" has turned into something bigger: starting this Thursday, Especially Sweet is bringing in other special-needs kids and young adults weekly, with plans to keep growing that. It's a business built to make sure kids like Shane have somewhere to belong, not just somewhere to be employed.

Oh — and the chocolate is genuinely excellent. Handmade truffles, boxed chocolates, a full wall of chocolate-covered everything. Shane's personal favorite: the marshmallow ones. Now, it's our favorite too. 🍫🤍
