Boaters Resale Shop Of Texas We buy, sell, consign and trade used boat equipment and small boats in Kemah, Texas Boaters' Resale Shop of Texas opened for business in January of 2005.

We are a consignment based operation that specializes in used boat equipment and small boats. Most of our items are being sold for local boaters who bring their items in for consignment. Boaters' Resale Shop of Texas is located in the Galveston Bay area of Texas between Houston and Galveston. This area is widely recognized as the third largest concentration of wet boat slips in the United States.

We have over 15,000 boats within 20 miles of our store. These boats and their owners are the source for most of our items. We advertise nationwide and often have items shipped to us from out of state to be sold through our store. How To Be a Seller at

Boaters’ Resale Shop
Bring in good quality merchandise in clean and working condition, if you don't have time to clean it, we offer cleaning service in 15 minute increments. Bring in any manuals or instructions that go with your product, this will help us get a higher price for your item. If you are bringing in electronics, we need to have the power pigtails and interconnect cables if the device requires it. We will give you a suggested selling price for your items but You have the final decision on pricing. Things will go faster if you have thought about pricing and have some idea of what you want for your items. We do not sell parts of items. We sell entire pieces of equipment. We don't sell broken items or items with only parts value. If your item is incomplete or not working, we probably will not take it in unless it has decor value. There is a 15% surcharge for items that sell for less than $20.00. There is an absolute minimum consignment fee of $2.50 for any item sold. You will sign a contract that allows you to keep your items in the store on display for up to 6 months. At the end of that time any remaining items will be reduced on an automatic and graduated schedule over the next five months. At the end of that time, any unsold items remaining in the store will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Boaters Resale Shop of Texas. It is our strong belief that you will receive a higher net amount for your items by letting us sell them for you than you will get selling them through any other method. A percentage of a fair selling price in a high traffic store is better for you than 100% of a give away price at your garage sale or local flea market. Boaters’ Resale Shop writes checks on the second and last Wednesdays of the month. If you are due $50.00 or more, a check will be written for you. You will receive a call notifying you “You have cash!” so you can come to the store and pick it up. Customers living out of the area may request that their checks be mailed to them. We're working with the Houston Yacht Club to give them two Venture 21's to start a sail training class for beginning sailors. Both of the 21's we are donating were race winners in the Wednesday Night Races on Clear Lake over the past 7 years. A great , fun and fast little sailboat that provides a very high fun to dollars spent ratio. You can scroll through our pictures below to take a look at these two boats and their history with the Boaters' Resale Shop of Texas. We want to see more people out there sailing their boats and having fun. Stay tuned for updates on this project.
