Texas Precision Guns will be open 7 days a week for a few weeks for the opening days of Dove season. Open Sunday and Monday now from 12-5:30pm and 10-6pm Tuesday through Saturday.

Shot Shells, decoys, new and used shotguns, hunting & fishing licenses. Come get them while supplies last.

I was thinking about doing a new grand opening of our new expansion when the new expansion is completed and all the products are in, but what to actually do for it. Burgers, BBQ, hot dogs, have several different food trucks to choose from, ribbons, flags, slides, etc… water to get any ideals from you all what maybe to do.

Although the expansion will be done by the end of the month,’many of the new displays and products may not be in by Sept 1st, plus it is so hot still. Was thinking about maybe Oct 3rd, it’s a Saturday so most will be able to attend and should be enough time to get everything in and new staff trained.

But looking for ideals so post away.

Silencers update

Everyone it is confirmed that silencers no longer have to have the long process of trusts, fingerprints, e-form accounts, etc… but we still have to wait for a bit longer before we can sell them when simple 4473.

I spoke with the ATF as well as the NFA department yesterday, spent more than 2 hours getting through to them to see how this all will now work and even they do not know for sure. All silencers are still on the ATF’s NFA computers as registered to a specific store or IEN number, they are still processing form 4’s at this time but they are also knowing that it is no longer required, but again they do not know how this all is going to work. This is how FFL’s end up loosing their license for life if this is not done right. They all said they will have an answer on how the forms will change within the next two weeks, remember it’s their world, we just pay for it.

Silencers are already flying off the shelf, we sold almost 20 yesterday alone and have over $50,000.00 more ordered because after these are gone there will be a major delay in getting anymore until the new madness slows down. What we were told to do by the ATF to be safe is to sale the silencer but keep it in our possession until this is figured out in a week or two. It will be yours, just have to wait a bit longer until all this new mess is figured out to protect the license. Your silencer is locked away, your name is on it, you have a receipt, and the min we find out exactly how the paperwork is done we call you and finish your part and walk out.

I know this is a bit of a let down but we are working on this everyday until we get an answer. It should be simple, 4473, 21 years old, background check, sign, pay, and walkout, but when is anything with the federal government simple?

So far the expansion is going right on schedule and should be completed within the next 1 to 1.5 weeks, hopefully by the following Monday the 24th of August, so please excuse our mess while we complete the final push to completion giving up about 4,000 - 4,500 square feet of sales floor. I know the pictures don’t show much but it is a lot of work in a short time to get this far.

We will be adding many new products to the store, including our reloading area, which brings me to my question of all of you that reload, what powders and primers do would you like to see us carry? Please post below on what you use or would like to see in the store, starting off with a small order of primers and powders, about 50k worth. Will be stocking presses, RCBS, Dillon, and maybe a few others if requested. Also need to know what reloading dies as well.

After the expansion is complete will finish our new machine shop about another 500 square feet for our machine shop andwork space for our new line of Stihl products. The new lathe is setup and leveled, just need to finish setting up the DRO and it’s ready.

Also not sure how this all affects silencers but the ATF did. It appeal the ruling on silencers but as far as I know we will soon be able to just sell silencers with a simple 4473 and no more finger printing, trusts, and the wait for a tax stamp with no tax. Thanks to z President Trumps Big Beautiful Bill getting rid of the $200.00 tax, it made the whole process a registry which violates the 2A right. Not sure if this only is for silencers sold by Silencer Shop as they were the ones in the law suite against the ATF, or will also cover other manufacturers of silencers, sure it will over time. But we ordered another 100+ silencers bringing us around 200 in stock because there will be a major rush on them and don’t want you having to wait on back orders, many customers already saying they want 3 or more right away, going to be crazy for sure. I know our suppliers are already being loaded down with orders but we got our order in before the rush hit them.

Got a new product line coming to Texas Precision Guns, Stihl. We are about 40% complete on our 2,000 square foot expansion bringing our sales floor to around 5,000 square feet, where we will be adding our safe line, full reloading area with instruction classes to get you started as well as expanding our silencers selection.

Invested $100,000.00 into this product line alone to bring you what I think is the best product for outdoor needs, can’t go wrong with Stihl products. I have a trimmer that is over 20 years old, to this day it still starts up with 3-5 pulls.

For those that like battery products, we will be sticking those as well, I have a couple of their battery powered hedge trimmers, been going strong since 2016 when I bought them in Bryan, TX.

Will be adding zero turn mowers when we get our secured area, will have 4 authorized Stihl certified mechanics on staff for any repair that your product may require in the future.

All this will be in around Sept 1st according to the Rep, spent an hour signing contracts early this week, that’s when he said he hoped to have the displays and product in the store. Starting off with a doubled sided 50’ long display, gas on one side, battery on the other.

Been a while and wanted to give all an update on new and upcoming adventures happening at Texas Precision Guns.

One, silencers are really taking off, with over 80+ silencers in stock, we have you covered. Choose from cans for your smallest calibers all the way up to 50 BMG. Steel, aluminum, titanium, we have you covered. With our Silencer shop kiosk getting your NFA paperwork done is a breeze.

Two, rifles and handguns, a huge selection of fi****ms for all your needs are wants. Thinking about that special gift you’re wanting to give, well if it is a nice new firearm we have you covered.

Three, used fi****ms, we have those as well, lots of fine used fi****ms in stock, all checked out, ran through a database to make sure there are no fi****ms that are stolen and we always check out for defects and make sure they are fully functional.

Four, we are getting out ceramic coating and laser agreement back up again. We went through and ordered all new professional sprayers so the finish comes out perfect. We also offer laser engravings again, will be adding an ultraviolet laser to the shop soon as well, this will allow us to engrave on glass and do 3D acrylic engravings.

Five, the remolding is back in and in progress, this will add another 1,800 square food of shopping space. We have already gotten our new displays for the new additions to the store, reloading supplies, primers, powders, brass, shells, and reloader’s of all brands, dies, bullet sizers, all incoming within the next few months.

Six, gun safes, want to protect your investments from fire, theft, or keep children away from your fi****ms while your away, will have you covered. Looking to stock Browning safes. We will also stock the cheaper safes but if you want one of the best, go Browning.

There is so much more coming to the store we just can’t mention it all here, some contracts are still being signed as we work, but be assured it will make us one of the best stops you can make for your outdoor needs. We have 2 acres we can put inventory out there so you don’t have to drive to San Antonio for a great deal, just drive here locally and save because we usually beat even big box store prices and match online prices just so you don’t have to drive around especially with the high costs of fuel.

Yes lots happening now, and if you get thirsty while shopping, even purchased a Coke machine to get refreshments, already chilling your drinks to 30 degrees, so cold the drink has ice crystals in them. But we work on the expansion at night sometimes during the day trying to get it done before hunting season, where we will be starting the season off with 6 pallets of shot shells so no reason to go anywhere else. Decoys, baits for deer, even special soaps to wash away the human scent to help your chances.

Been a week since we got back from Shot Show 2026 innLas Vegas, 5 days of walking 7-10 miles a day, taking meetings, meeting new vendors. All the current venders we already had were happy to see us, the work that we have done, the plans for our future. All are excited to hear about the expansion starting up again and all are ready to come to the store and many offer great deals dealer direct to you the customer.

First of all I would like to thank you all for your support, without you all we would not be here today, and I know I can’t thank you all enough for your support all these years especially after the loss I had a couple years ago. Been a long road since that time and still have a long one ahead, and you all have helped me through that time. Thanks to all your understanding of the situation I have slowly started getting the will to keep life moving and keep fighting and pushing to grow.

But the 2026 year will bring new products to the store, located the best price I could on primers, powders, brass, reloading equipment. Once the expansion is completed we will be bringing in our Dillon Precision, RCBS, and other reloaded in, also spoke to Browning safes again and they are happy to pick up where we left off in 2023 and stock one of the best safes on the market, not that cheap Wi******er, Canon, Liberty, safes others carry, you want a real safe, Browning is the way to go. Also located new suppliers for AR parts, and accessories, had to w**d through a lot of cheap Chinese junk, but believe I found great products and reasonable prices.

But we got started a day early so got a behind the scenes I guess you could say, and helped a few vendors setup beige the first day. It lots of vendors will be coming to the store so stop on by soon and see all the new products as they come in.

Headed to Shot Show 2026 next week is Las Vegas. This is the largest gun show in the country, if you all would like to see some new products in the store drop a suggestion or message us and we will see what it takes to get the products your looking for.

Jaycob will be staying/living at the store working on the expansion, making more room to hold all the new products coming soon.
