Another visit to wonderful Oslo!, and a repeat picture with Anne, a peek of a pattern to come from Anne’s Norwegian Knitting, off to the ski-jump ( wish there had been time for the zip-line!), back into town and a trip to HUSFLIDEN for buttons and yarn for all, and a stop at Freía Chocolate Shop, a post-dinner stroll through the Queen’s Garden, followed by a laughter-filled 7hr train ride to Trondheim! Another day, another Yarn shop! How wonderful to see Marte at Selbu spinneri again, and how fun to see the 18 of us enjoying hearing about the very small but mighty process of Sheep-to -yarn, supporting all of the smaller Norwegian wool producers! A trip down the road to the 5-day long Viking Market, with a fantastic talk about archeology digs, new discoveries and new focus on Viking textiles! Our own Steph talked about the Viking graves she has been lucky enough to be involved with, replicating traditional items as they would have been created in the 800s!
Back to town for yet more tasty Fish soup…. And a much needed walk!
