New herb alert! Your requests matter! When we hear from our community that a particular herb is needed and we don't carry it, we will add it to our regular stock. Our latest addition is Feverfew. Feverfew has so many traditional herbal uses that I honestly could not get all of it on a single post. It has been used for migraines, muscle aches, fevers, seasonal allergies, and so much more.
This is a fascinating plant with quite a rich history of medicinal use.

It is time for some iced tea!
We have an exciting limited release of a new summer blend that is made to be lightly fruity and smooth with some subtle floral notes.
We’ve enjoyed it as a cold brew and as a delicious sun tea served over ice, both methods are so delicious!

If black tea with peach, rose, hibiscus, and strawberry with a hint of ginger and slightly sweet stevia leaf sounds like your cup of tea, stop by and grab some before it is done for the season!

Our herbal spotlight this week is Eleuthero Root!
If you tend to fall into a bit of a summer slump with your energy levels and motivation, or experience a lot of stagnation in your body, this root can be quite helpful.
It is often used to get your life force energy moving and active without becoming excessive. This helps give you a boost while avoiding a crash later, so your nervous system can adapt accordingly as your energy does.

Sometimes we like to bring in some fresh garden herbs to make a delicious beverage for the day!

Today I brought in some fresh lemon balm and brewed a nice strong cup of it. Once it cools I cut it with some very cold lemonade and some sparkling water to taste.

Herbs don’t have to just be enjoyed in a hot tea or an overnight cold brew, they can be steeped as a concentrate and added to your favorite cold beverages in a pinch!

Apothecary Activity Log
- Mourned the fact that the title “Apothecary Diaries” is taken. Can’t even be mad, the show is good.
- Smoke cleansed the shop with juniper berries. May have confused some nearby construction workers when I was muttering to myself as I brought the cauldron and juniper inside.
- Helped some very nice new guests, they had excellent questions. Much fun.
- Restocked our Cleansing Room Spray. It keeps selling out because many people have frustrating co-workers but HR frowns upon lighting things on fire or screaming the bad vibes away. Luckily I have not yet been deterred from that approach but at least there is an option should that day come.
- Helped a couple of very nice familiar guests, also with great questions. Fun again!
- Made delicious iced Earl Grey tea with lemonade. 10/10, no notes.
- Tested an upcoming summer blend. Accidentally cleaned up mess before taking a pic for social media. Promptly made random mess for dramatic reenactment purposes. Business partner does not know of the manufactured mess.
- Completed daily quick refresher study of herbs. Put together some informative material.

Overall a very good day at the Apothecary.
