Here a nice addition to a 1980 or Desert Storm display. One unopened case of MRE’s@ that were produced in 1987.

I bet these meals have the dehydrated strawberries 🍓 😊.

It probably also has dehydrated pork patty 🤮.

I do not know how these meals were stored, so they are being sold as a historic item for displays.

I would encourage the buyer not to eat them !

We picked up a nice supply of 1943 pennies. 1943 to support the war effort United States started making pennies out of steel. This is the only year that they were made of steel.

We have many Philadelphia, minted pennies, and a small number of Denver and San Francisco.

A complete one of each PD&S is only $5.00

Today, I got this quarter.

In United States, the medal of honor is the highest award take could be achieved by a member of the United States military.

Since its inception during American Civil War over 3500 recipients have received this High honor for going above and beyond in the call of duty in combat.

Dr. Mary Edwards Walker is the only woman to ever receive it. She received it for her service during the American Civil War.

I tell you more, but I would encourage you to look her up for yourself. She was amazing woman.

Today’s mail call brought us a nice British Mk II helmet, sometimes refer to as an Irish M-26 Vickers helmet.

This example has the painted on logo for the Irish eastern command of the Irish defense force. They were acquired needed equipment during Ireland’s official state of emergency, from 1939 to 1945.

We’d like to give a shout out to Mark and Jerry of the Military collectable shop up in Milwaukee, while I was sitting home recovering after getting out of the hospital, they had a live sale so I decided to watch it on my nice 72 inch TV.

Helmet was shipped quickly packed well and I look forward to their next live sale.

As you know, we reenact and collect British, however, technically this is an Irish helmet so currently it’s in the store un-price. I’m still debating on keeping or selling it. I guess it depends on an offer at this point.

However, World War II, Irish artifacts are actually a bit harder to find.
