Fall color is in full swing at the nursery, and we thought we would highlight one of our favorites: This is a Chinese Witch Hazel, and it is a small tree known for its fragrant ribbon-like flowers that adorn the plant during the coldest, darkest part of winter! Depending on which variety you choose, the flowers can be bright yellow, orange or red. Not to be outdone, this plant gets absolutely ridiculous fall color that is a mix of fiery reds, oranges and yellows. Not sure if these pictures even do it justice!
Plant these beautiful plants in full or partial sun with moist, well draining soil. They will grow in a beautiful vase-shaped habit and get to 8-12 feet tall and wide, perhaps a little larger if given enough time!
