ATTN HUMMINBIRD CUSTOMERS:

For current XPLORE, APEX, and SOLIX G3 fish finder users updating from software version 6.090, this will be a two-step update process.

You’ll start with a quick bridge update to version 6.120, followed by a second, more extensive update to version 7.400.

Each fish finder on your network will need to pass through the two-step update sequence; you can complete the updates using the traditional SD card-driven process using software downloaded from Humminbird or Minn Kota, or by using the Wi-Fi Update routine available on software version 6.090.

The version 7.400 update also includes the necessary updates for networked Minn Kota trolling motors and advanced accessories like MEGA Live 2 forward-facing sonar, so there’s no need to go hunting for separate update files for motors or accessories.

Be sure to update the trolling motor, all fish finders, and all networked accessories to enable all the powerful new features and functions on your current equipment.

Another boating company closing the doors. This one we are to familiar with as they also had a plant in Carlyle which has been shutdown for awhile now.

Employees tell Tennessee River Valley News that Wise Company in Savannah has suddenly ceased operations, leaving approximately 130 employees affected.

The company manufactures premium OEM and aftermarket seating products for boats — including pontoons, bass boats, and cruisers — as well as seating solutions for equipment such as forklifts, golf carts, and ambulances. Wise serves customers worldwide through facilities in Tennessee, Illinois, and Arkansas.

According to the state’s WARN notice database, no WARN filing has been posted at this time.

Calls to company HR and other listed extensions have gone unanswered as efforts continue to confirm details.
