Our last September Emerging Entrepreneur Exhibitor is Calloway Anthony!
Calloway will be a staple in the store as he is the blood and drive behind all of this! When deciding to reopen the family store Callowayโs idea was to provide a space for his friends and him to sell their products, if it was up to him it would only be youth vendors but by educating him on bills associated with running a business, we created a happy medium of 3 youth a month!
Calloway worked hard cleaning and organizing the store to reopen and was a big part in planning where each youth entrepreneur would be set up. The goal was to make sure they have a prime spot to be showcased! He counts every day to when we will be open again!
Calloway is an active member of Clay County 4-H, Clay County Jr. Cattlemanโs Ass. and Clay County YLPA. He loves to hunt, fish, build things, cook, and eat anything coming from his mommaโs kitchen! He is a natural problem solver that loves to help anyone and everyone! Calloway currently shows sheep, pigs, and rabbits at local fairs and jackpot shows. He is currently working toward getting into cattle showing! He is learning the ropes of showing while learning that every day and every show comes with new sets of challenges! As he adds more species to his barn he learns fast how different each one is, it is challenge he has begun to look forward to! Outdoors is his favorite place to be!
This year Calloway set his goals on winning the 2026 Swine Premier Exhibitor competition through the Clay County Fair. Becoming a Premier Exhibitor is a big deal. This competition requires dedication, preparation, attending clinics, completing testing to demonstrate knowledge of the species, maintaining a record book, and competing in multiple skill-based events. For Calloway this competition meant more than a belt buckle and a title. For him it meant that he pushed through every challenge in front of him as he struggles being dyslexic and not allowing his doubts to take over what God was helping him do. When he was announced as the 2026 Clay County Fair Swine Premier Exhibitor Grand Champion, he was blessed to be surrounded by an amazing group of FFA members from many chapters that cheered louder for him than they did themselves. Each of these members helped him achieve this goal and pushed him not to give up. Supporters like this help inspire the next generation to find ways to support others anyway they can, which is exactly what we want to do at CBC Market.
During the 2026 Clay County Fair Calloway was honored to say the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge to open two separate livestock shows. This year he also got highest score for his 4-H Showcase Teach Me in Three where he did an instructional video showing how to make fly-fishing baits. At the 2026 4-H University State Awards he won Overall Junior for his Graphic Design on his 3Ps of Firearm Usage PSA.
Calloway will be offering fruit butter and his homemade fly-fishing baits throughout the month as well as setting up to sell his Cake Pops at our Grand Opening. He is the co-owner and Director of PR for Legacy Sweets! Through his business of selling his products Calloway dream is to become a pilot and one day fly for FWC! He is currently in a pilot program where his sales help him raise money to pay for the flight time needed to earn his pilot license!
Follow is journey on Legacy Sweets to learn more about him! We are excited he brought to life the idea of having his friends and fellow agriculture members join him in selling his products!
