I just put out over 100 fresh VHS titles. That makes the total in the store over 250, with more to come. I still have nearly 2,000 left to get cleaned, inspected, and put out.

I’ve lost a few tapes due to being picky about what goes out on the floor. Cleaning and checking for mold and broken parts takes a while, but it is worth it to bring you a quality option for your physical media needs. Check out the new overflow shelves on the left side of the movie aisle for the bargains at 4.99 each or 3 for 10.

Next up, I am looking for cassettes. I’ve had a lot of calls for rock cassettes in particular, and it is next on the list to boost my pathetic inventory of them.

Massive VHS drop tomorrow! My biggest one yet.

I also have a brand-new price point on most of the titles already out on the floor. Check out the new overflow shelves on the left side of the movie aisle for the bargains.

They are 4.99 each, or you can bundle them up at 3 for 10.

The doors open at 11 tomorrow morning. Come spend your Friday digging through real plastic tape formats.

I’ve had a steady stream of people walking into the shop lately asking for Pokémon cards. Since I ran completely out of the standard plastic sleeves for my usual $5 mystery packs, I’m doing something a bit different for this week.

On the cash counter today, you’ll find exactly four ultra-limited hard-shell cases. Each one contains 16 curated cards: 7 clean Japanese imports, 7 random cards, and 2 guaranteed shiny cards per case. There's a chance of some rare cards in the mix.

They are $12 a pack. Once these four are gone, they are gone.

While you’re hovering at the counter checking those out, the rest of the lanes are open until 8 tonight. Come find something you'll love.

The right-side movie aisle has been completely replenished with mass-market comedies, sci-fi classics, and blockbusters from the vault.

If you want to spend your Friday looking at actual physical media instead of yesterday's blurred index card, the front door is unlocked.

Due to absolute laziness and a flat-out refusal to show you the exact same photo of cardboard tape crates for the third consecutive week, I have elected to post this text artifact instead.

If you look closely past the index card, you can vaguely see the new right-side movie aisle layout. Behind the scenes, I am currently sorting through the next wave of mass-market comedies, action flicks, and vintage horror titles to fill it. The actual physical restock won't happen until tomorrow morning.

If you want to actually see what made the cut without the blur filter, you’ll have to use your eyes in the shop tomorrow at eleven. I have the physical inventory, but my digital department is currently experiencing an outage.

Knock knock. Who’s there? A bunch of movies!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by on Saturday to check out the initial wave of VHS tapes. They sold incredibly well, and I appreciate the support.
If you peek past the barricade into the future lounge right now, you can see the industrial bread crates stacked up with the inventory I’m currently processing. I’ve been sorting through them all week to get ready for our next official Fresh VHS Friday drop tomorrow morning.

The new batch hits the right-side movie section tomorrow (Friday) right when the doors open. Come grab 'em before someone else does.

ADMINISTRATIVE NOTICE: THE MAGNETIC TAPE FLOOD OF 2026.

My initial mathematical estimates regarding the recent rental store pallet acquisition were severely flawed. I anticipated a manageable stack of 500 VHS tapes. I was wrong. The actual count is currently hovering somewhere north of 2,000 units.
I have spent the morning expanding the right-side wall display to accommodate the first wave of survivors.
Approximately 50 heavy-hitting horror titles have successfully cleared inspection and are now sitting on the floor.
I am counting and scrubbing the remaining mountain of magnetic plastic in chronological order.

If you are navigating downtown Kilgore this afternoon, the right wall is fully operational. Feel free to come witness the sheer volume of 1980s cover art I am currently forced to sit next to.

Happy National Radio Day!

In honor of National Radio Day, I spent the morning attempting to pick up the 1970s signal of radio station KDOK Radio on an ungrounded 8-track player.
The results were mathematically inconclusive, though I did briefly hear what sounded like an automated weather report from 1974 regarding local humidity levels.

If you are navigating the downtown concrete grid today, please ensure your personal antenna is fully extended. My red wire rack is currently holding a high volume of uncompressed compact discs containing audio art, which pairs wonderfully with the KDOK broadcasts you'll hear in the store.
