I had to share my 2 AM thought! 😂

Y’all, I just realized something, I’m literally creating the kind of vendor event I would want to vend at.

We’ve had such a great response from our vendors for the Holiday Gift Showcase: Home for the Holiday Gift Showcase Central Texas Marketplace, and my 2 AM thought was: How can we pour some of that support right back into the businesses that invested in this event?

So, My Tea Party is sponsoring the Marketplace Shopping Vouchers for our newest activity: Finish the Lyrics: Christmas Song Edition! 🎶

Throughout the market, I’ll randomly select guests and give them the beginning of a Christmas song lyric. Finish the next line correctly and you’ll win a $20 Marketplace Shopping Voucher to spend with a participating vendor or food vendor that day.

And THIS is the part I love:

Every time a guest wins, one of our vendors gets a sale.

Instead of purchasing random giveaway prizes, we’re putting those dollars directly back into the marketplace. Guests get to have fun. Vendors get another opportunity to make a sale. And the money continues circulating among the small businesses that showed up and invested in this event.

Yep. This is exactly the kind of vendor event I would want to vend at. 😂

🎶 FINISH THE LYRICS: Christmas Song Edition! 🎄

Think you know your Christmas music? You may want to brush up before November 7! 😂

During the Holiday Gift Showcase: Home for the Holidays, I’ll be walking through the marketplace and randomly selecting guests to finish the next line of a Christmas song.

Get it right and you’ll win a $20 Marketplace Shopping Voucher to spend with a participating vendor or food vendor that day!

No phones. No help from your shopping buddy. One chance to finish the lyric!

And here’s my favorite part: every voucher won puts $20 right back into one of our participating small businesses.

Some people dream big. Others make room for you to dream big, too. ❤️

I want to take a moment to publicly thank Toni Ringgold for being that kind of person.

What I appreciate most about Toni is how genuinely excited she becomes when someone shares an idea. She listens, sees the possibilities, and encourages you to explore them further. Before you know it, a simple conversation has grown into something wonderful!

Your talent is undeniable, but it's your heart that I appreciate most.

Thank you for reminding me how beautiful it is when people believe in each other's dreams. ❤️

I recently enjoyed a delicious bowl of Butternut Squash Soup from Hummingbird Roots & Recipes, prepared by Chef Direka Gordon.

And I have to admit something… I like Chef Direka’s soup better than my own!

That simple realization had me pondering something for quite a while.
How many times have we settled for something simply because it was familiar and comfortable?
Sometimes, we become so accustomed to what we know that we never consider the possibility that something greater exists beyond our comfort zone.

It took trying someone else's recipe for me to appreciate a different experience. And that small moment carried a much bigger lesson.
Being comfortable doesn't necessarily mean we're experiencing the best of what's possible.

Thank you, Chef Direka, for more than a delicious bowl of soup. You gave me something to think about!
