We've beat the odds!

Half of all small businesses fail within their first five years. As we approach our 5th anniversary weekend, Aug 21-23, we are enjoying our busiest year ever! That means a lot to us so we are giving our customers some special discounts that weekend!

If you'd appreciate a little of our backstory, I'll be entirely honest with you, we kinda just fell into this opportunity to open Bookish. A few of our customers might remember when Becky and I opened a "pop-up" storefront for 5 weeks at the end of 2018 as The Book Den over on the Court side of the mall. As we were primarily a mobile bookstore, having an actual storefront from Thanksgiving through New Years was an interesting experiment. We learned how hard and time consuming having a physical store would be. The mall kept calling us each year to see if we'd come back but I declined for nearly three years until 2021 when they offered us the space where we are now. I am so thankful we've held on to the same space all this time and have not been moved around!
