The Floral 2 crew was challenged to create a floral design from scratch based off of a children’s book of their choice! This was completed as their semester 2 Final project. They planned everything from the initial idea proposal, to the blueprint, to the floral recipe/floral order.

Projects were displayed at our spring FFA awards ceremony and everyone voted for their favorite! Congrats to Tori Jones (Lady Bug girl) for earning over 50% of the votes cast!

Nothing is more humbling than getting asked to do the wedding of one of your very own students! To know Bridgett is to love her and we were thrilled to be a part of her and Austin’s special day! Thank you for having faith in us and Congrats Again!

⭐️UPDATE⭐️

Do you remember the post about these Fab 5 and how they participated in the Floral certification exam back in April?

Well guess what… THEY ALL PASSED!! For the first time, all KHS students who took the Tier 2 exam earned a passing score! This certification is backed by California State Floral Association and qualifies a student for any entry level position in a Floral shop. Students receive an official CCF seal on their certificate.

Congratulations goes to Tori Jones, Madison Sharp, Molly Reddell, Jade Perez, and Averie Croissant

BUT WAIT.. there’s more..
Students can pass with a “proficient” or “advanced” distinction. BOTH Molly and Madison passed in the advanced category!

We are so proud of the hard work these ladies put into preparing for this exam. While 2 are graduating, 3 of them will remain in floral next year and we cannot wait to see what they design!

Our next student spotlight is Jade Perez! Jade is a Junior in the Ag Department and a ROCKSTAR in our Floral Program! She has taken her love of flowers into starting her own floral side hussle and you can follow along at
Jade will be marketing fresh u-pick wrapped flower bouquets that she will help YOU design from start to finish.
