Charles Darwin roses in all their peachy glory. We love this variety.

Roses have always been one of those crops I’ve struggled with, so I’m very thankful for this small bouquet I picked this morning. These are a variety called Charles Darwin, and I had to chuckle that out of all the varieties I’m trying to grow, these are the ones that are flourishing. Survival of the fittest indeed!

These Vanilla Strawberry hydrangea blooms start out a beautiful creamy white in the summer, but by fall they will have a lovely pink blush. We enjoy them all season throughout their color transition.

This beautiful Great Blue Heron is a resident at our new farm’s pond. Turtles, frogs, and geese also call the pond home. I enjoy observing and getting to know the wildlife on our new property and hope we can respectfully be a part of the ecosystem here.
