A centerpiece from a matching set of native south Texas white-tail shed antlers laying in a small cactus bed with a bobwhite quail .

A client brought in a couple hundred shed antlers for a Christmas tree project and this pair was among them.
I couldn’t help myself and went ahead and made this piece.

Those two antlers are too special to be in a Christmas tree.

Today I worked on another centerpiece for a repeat customer and also made a wall display for an out of state hunter that recently harvested his first Nilgai.
He said the hunt and recovery was quite an ordeal and now has a European style skull including South Texas type foliage and habitat as a memento of his experience!
