BookTree is one of the few remaining independent bookstores on the Eastside that is an important gathering place and provides author and Literary Events.

Support indie bookstores and 'Get your read on Today!' BookTree is a full service Independent New and gently used Bookstore with Author Events, Poetry Readings, Bookclubs, Workshops, and much more. Owner Chris is passionate about books and literature and believes bookstores are also important community gathering places that allow the open exchange of ideas. We offer our own and others recommendations on books in most genres from infants to adults. We can get you the right book for whatever mood you are in. We're a cozy place to browse,and have a children's room too. We have gift certificates, loyalty cards and are happy to special order any book in print. We have books ranging in price from a couple of dollars to approximately $50 with a few collector's and special items priced higher. We also have an in-store book club that meets the last Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. to discuss the book we are reading/have read for that month! Most events and meetings are FREE! Thanks for supporting this and other independent bookstores with your patronage. A great day to find your next great read at BookTree (609 Market St.) Kirkland's only locally owned and operated new and gently-used independent bookstore. Thank you for making the weekend's events (Robert Dugoni & First Saturday writing workshop, reading and open mic) a success. Thank you for making the dual book launch of Thomas A. Thomas' Reverence; and my own brand new book Stir (Christopher J. Jarmick) a fun and successful evening which included some wonderful open mic sharing too. Thank you for supporting BookTree- Kirkland's only new and gently-used independent bookstore. Thanks to all who attended our Robert Dugoni author event on Friday evening. Bob's latest is the 12th Tracy Crosswhite mystery-thriller One Split Second. It's very good! Signed copies of nearly ALL of Bob's 30 and counting different books are here at BookTree.
