🌺 Somewhere between a salty breeze, a pile of florals, and a whole lot of conversation… this little community keeps getting bigger. 🌊💐❤️

We’ve officially reached 6,400, and for this round I’m bringing together two groups that make these posts extra special — some of my crafting sisters and some of the newest faces to arrive at Shop Paradise Creations! 🥰

My crafting sisters are fellow creators and small-business owners who understand the glue burns, overflowing craft rooms, late-night ideas, and the occasional project that decides it has its OWN plans. 😂✂️🌿 They show up, encourage, engage, share and support — and that deserves to be returned!

❤️🖤💨🌿 TIPS & TRICKS — GIVE IT A LITTLE STEAM! 🌿💨🖤❤️

Before one of my designs heads out the door, it gets a little spa treatment! 😂 And one of my favorite tools for the job is something you may already have in your house — a simple clothing steamer!

Some of my finished designs may sit in storage for a while before finding their new home. Even though I keep them covered, florals and greenery can still get a little smooshed, wrinkled or dusty.

💡 HERE’S THE TIP: A quick pass with a steamer can completely wake everything back up! The steam helps open those florals, relax wrinkled leaves and greenery, fluff everything back into shape and even makes those colors look fresh and bright again. 🌹🌿✨

Then comes my final inspection. 👀 I remove any price tags that may still be attached from a show, check every floral and piece of greenery, make sure nothing has been damaged and test anything that needs to work. This particular arrangement has a battery-operated cage base, so you better believe that gets tested before it leaves me too!

Basically, shipping one of my creations is a two-step process — spruce up first, pack up second! 📦 Before I ever start securing it into that box, I want it looking just as beautiful as the day I finished it.

And apparently my florals get a better pre-travel beauty treatment than I do. 😂💨🌹

📦🌊 HAPPY MAIL WITH A COASTAL SURPRISE! 🐚💙

Now THIS is the kind of mail I like opening! 😂❤️ My sweet friend Joyce from Creations by JnJ made this beautiful coastal piece during one of her lives, and the minute I saw it, I wanted it—so of course I bought it! 😂💙 And now it has officially arrived at its new home in Cocoa Beach!

Crab, seahorse, octopus AND sea turtle… she certainly knows the way to this Cocoa Beach girl’s heart! 🦀🐙🐢🌊 And those gorgeous coastal blues are going to fit right into my new condo. Now I just have to find the perfect spot to show it off! 😍

🐢 And that wasn’t the only thing, I also purchased these adorable turtle coasters that Joyce made, and of course I had to show those off too! They are SO perfect for our new coastal home and will definitely be getting plenty of use around here. 💙🌊

Joyce, thank you so much! ❤️ You are such a talented and wonderful designer, and I absolutely love this piece. It will definitely be treasured in our new home.

Our Henhouse and Bloom Co. Event Group event scheduled for today, Wednesday, September 16th, has been canceled. 🍂

That also means I will NOT be going LIVE at 2:00 PM today as previously announced.

Sometimes plans have to change, and we appreciate everyone who was planning to spend part of their Wednesday crafting and hanging out with us. ❤️

Good Morning Friends!

If you could shrink yourself small enough to wander between these pink petals, you’d quickly discover you weren’t alone. 🌹🐝😂

Before you read any further, take a close look at my photo. 👀 How many little party crashers can you find hiding inside this rose?

Those bees aren’t simply wandering around in there. The center of the rose is where the good stuff is—the flower’s pollen-producing structures. As the bees crawl, wiggle and squeeze their way through those petals collecting food, pollen can hitch a ride on their bodies and eventually make its way to another flower.

Basically, this rose has created its own little private dining room, and apparently word got out. 😂🌹

What I love most is that you could glance at this picture and simply see a beautiful pink rose. But look a little closer and there’s an entire tiny world carrying on inside it.

Now go back and look again…

🎃🍍 I WENT TO HOME DEPOT FOR ERRANDS… THAT WAS MY FIRST MISTAKE. 😂

Because apparently Home Depot has decided I needed coastal Halloween décor in my life!

I spotted this crazy little pineapple jack-o’-lantern and there was absolutely NO WAY I was leaving him behind. 🍍🎃 He lights up, he’s ridiculous, he’s adorable…and he is officially my very first coastal Halloween decoration for our new home! ❤️🌴

And then there was the cat. 🐈‍⬛😂

Did I need a glowing creepy Halloween cat too? Nope.
Did he come home with me anyway? Absolutely.

The pineapple gets to stay just the way he is, but that cat is already in trouble. 😂 I’m looking at him thinking he may need to become part of an arrangement or maybe even a wreath. You know you’re a crafter when you stop seeing decorations and start seeing SUPPLIES. ✂️🤣

So basically I went to Home Depot to run errands and came home with a haunted pineapple and a possessed cat.

Totally normal Monday at Shop Paradise Creations. 😂🎃🍍🐈‍⬛

Now…what should I do with that cat?! 👀

At first, my eyes went straight to the color—but then I followed the edge of one leaf…and suddenly the whole plant looked different. 👀🌿

This is coleus, and today we’re completely ignoring its spectacular colors because there’s something else going on here that deserves some attention.

Look at those SHAPES!

🌿 Some leaves are softly rounded.
✂️ Others are deeply cut and lobed.
〰️ Some have scalloped or ruffled edges.
👉 Others stretch into long, almost finger-like points.
🌱 And coleus varieties can have leaves that look dramatically different from one another.

Those fancy edges aren’t damage or leaves that haven’t finished forming. That’s exactly how they’re supposed to grow. Different coleus cultivars have been bred for an incredible variety of leaf forms—from simple and oval to twisted, frilly, deeply lobed and downright strange.

And now I have a feeling you’re going to do exactly what I’ve started doing…

Stop looking at the middle of the leaf and start following the edges. 😂🌿

🖤🐦‍⬛ SOLD… AND THIS ONE IS FLYING THE CAGE to OHIO 🐦‍⬛🖤

I am SO excited to see one of my Halloween designs heading to its new home, especially with Halloween creeping closer and closer! 🎃👻

This one is definitely for someone who likes their Halloween décor with a little drama. 😂 A black birdcage surrounded by bold red roses, red fall leaves, black ferns, black florals and pops of ghostly white berries…but the real mischief is happening INSIDE the cage. 🖤❤️

🐦‍⬛ That creepy little raven has glowing red eyes
💀 And hiding underneath him is a skull that lights up too!

Turn those lights on at night and this arrangement goes from pretty spooky to “maybe I shouldn’t have put that in the corner staring at me” spooky. 😂👀
