My name is Kurt Kessler, I grew up in Kill Devil Hills; I attended school at Kitty Hawk Elementary, First Flight Middle, Manteo High, and UNC Wilmington. These days, I’m a professional television Producer and Camera Operator working on Deadliest Catch, and several other popular TV shows. One day he told me their trademark was being revoked due to becoming a location code. He encouraged me to come up with a new design to copyright, so I came up with the OBX Fish!
