Do you have something in a loved one's handwriting that you would like to preserve forever? This is the perfect way to do that. Simply send me a clear copy (minimal smudges, no creases, and readable writing) of what you would like transferred, and I'll take it from there! (Note: prices on these signs vary due to their complexity, and I need to make them relatively large because of how intricate they are.)

, Day 3 - Beliefs & Values

I first started selling handcrafted signs on Facebook when my daughter was about 15 months old. She’s 6 now. Back then, I found myself with a tiny bit of extra time on my hands since she was a little bit older than an infant, so I started to do something for myself, and fast forward five years, and it’s morphed into this nearly full time business. Never say never, folks.

Choosing two values for my business, they would be wrapped up into a combination of creativity and joy. I think of myself as a third generation maker. My mom and grandmother were both seamstresses, and while I didn’t inherit that specific talent, I love the creativity that comes with being a making things, and it brings me a great deal of joy to do so, especially following in their footsteps.

Here’s that once 15 month old, helping me with a sign. Fourth generation crafter in the making, full of creativity and joy.

My style has definitely changed in the five years that I’ve been in business. I anticipate that it will continue to change and evolve over time. One of my most popular sign styles is the one pictured below—simple black text on a whitewashed background with a frame stained in dark walnut. (This particular sign was more than 2 feet tall and more than 5 1/2 feet long!)

Is this not your style? That’s okay! I love experimenting with different styles. Let me know what you like, and I’ll make it happen.
