A quick story about why we love Free Comic Book Day:

A father and son came in for the first time, looking for their first comic book.

So I explained how every one of the books on the counter were free, and they could have one of each title.

The dad couldn't believe it, took me aside and passed me some money, despite my protestations.

"Pay this forward to the next person in line," he said.

So if you got an extra discount Saturday, thank that father and his son for coming by.

Thank you all for making this the most successful Free Comic Book Day we've ever had.

And thank you for the reminders of why we do this.
