Friday Night You Can Find Me: After the boys' bedtime, I’m watching True Crime
After begging my mother to order personalized stationery at a young
age my obsession carried through to adulthood. In July of 2022, I decided to try my hand at designing my own. After months of making my family and friends stationery and gift tags, I was blessed to be introduced to my printer, located in Pelham, Alabama. I would have never started this business without having this printer on my team. They are a family-owned company and their quality is next level! About a year ago I read a book, Living Fully by Mallory Ervin, and in that book, she talked about “Legacy Mode.” I then started to shift my thinking about my own legacy and what it means to me and the people that I love. We leave nothing else behind except for our legacy. How do you want to be remembered, how do you want your kids to describe you to their kids? Of course, we could say this isn't in our control, or we could start to think about this later in life. Maybe it's the control freak in me, but we can have some control of it now. We can wake up everyday and live like we want to be remembered. As frivolous as it may sound, I think stationery can help you live in legacy mode. Making a habit of sending thank you notes and teaching my children to express their gratitude in writing helps me live in legacy mode. I believe in putting down on paper how you feel can create a legacy of love, gratitude and abundance. Making it personalized just adds a special touch of class. Giving the gift of personalized stationery is another way to create a legacy of thoughtfulness and love. With a degree in Marketing, a love for design, and maybe some small obsessive compulsive tendencies, I realized that with these things I can achieve my dream of helping my community live in legacy mode.
