Labor Day has passed and I’m not sweltering by lunchtime, which means….boot shopping season is upon us! 🙌🏻

Before you automatically purchase standard black leather boots, ask yourself the questions above.

I used to always buy black boots but no longer own a pair, because I observed that other neutrals work better with my wardrobe. Think about the colors of tops, jackets, and purses you gravitate towards for implementing the sandwich rule or the primary color of your bottoms to coordinate and lengthen your looks.

How do you feel when you are rushed to get ready in the morning?

My best friend called with a big update as I was about to hop in the shower. So, my hour to get ready turned into about 25 minutes, including a shower. I knew I could take her call and still show up feeling like a confident version of myself based on the investment I’ve made in curating a wardrobe that works for my body, my lifestyle, and my taste.

Anyone else feeling the itch? I looked in my closet and thought, “I need more boots.” I do it every year. Still sweating everyday, but feeling the slightest drop in AM temperatures, seeing pumpkin spice on the menu, and queuing up my ESPN app for football has my brain saying BOOTS!

As we all reflect on the impact Dolly had and the legacy she leaves behind, I’m truly proud of what Surseen is starting to mean not just for me, but for other women.
