Interview today with Emily Stroud from Channel 10 -WBIR at Fountain City Park. Come to their next event this weekend to The Spring Arts & Crafts Show located at The Fountain City Lions Club at Founain City Park. Friday, March 14 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, March 15 from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Please come and support this fundraiser event and help get these kids to Washington, DC. We are 1/2 way to our goal ($6,700), but need everyone's help to get to our goal of $16,500. We only have a little over a week to get to our goal and send these 5th graders to Washington, DC. I am also having another show on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 at The Lions Club Building at Fountain City Park. Show hours on Friday are from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am - 6:00pm. Friday, February 28 was the 1/2 way mark for this fundraiser endeavor. Jordan planned a fun night for his entire 5th grade class. The 5th Grade Winter Dance took place at The Boys & Girls Club of the TN Valley Halls / Powell. The dance was meant for the students to have a break from working so hard and just have a night of fun. He had a professional DJ, Dave Mann, a professional photographer, J & D Critter Bug Photography and a Massage Therapist for the parents, Michelle Molloy.

The goal is set for $16,500 which is due by March 25th. As of Friday, February 28th, the total that has been raised is $5,400 including the proceeds made from the dance. The 5th graders have several more events scheduled for the next 3 weeks. The following is a list of upcoming events:

These are the 4 craft shows that we have scheduled for the fund raiser. My son is in 5th grade at Adrian Burnett Elementary School. Jordan has planned these events to raise money to pay for all of his classmates fees for the Safety Patrol Trip to Washington DC.

Please let me know if you are interested so I can add you to the vendor list. The booth fee is $60.00 per show plus 1 item for the silent auction. The booth fee will need to be paid on the day before the show begins when you set-up your booth. You do not have to pay for all 4 shows at the same time. Several vendors are doing all 4 shows and sell items related to the title of the show. If you decide to do all 4 shows, I will give you a huge discount. I will reduce the price to $30 per show plus a 1 item for the silent auction.

I have notified all of the local News Media and local Newspapers. I have already received confirmation from Don Dare to feature a story about my son Jordan, his classmates and the fundraiser. With the support from the media, I believe all 4 craft shows will be a great success.

Jordan Bishop is a 5th grade student at Adrian Burnett Elementary. This year he ran for Student Council. He won and is now representing Mr. Green' s Fifth grade class. During his campaign, Jordan decided that he wanted to raise enough money to pay for all of his classmates fee of $440.00 each for the AAA Adrian Burnett 5th Grade Safety Patrol Trip / Washington, DC
Jordan presented his Fund Raiser Proposal to the PTSO and to the parents of the students. They were surprised that Jordan wanted to do this. He formed a committee which consists of 32+ people. The grand total goal is $20,000. The following is a list of the Fund Raiser Events that Jordan is planning.

Here is the information for the events that I am planning for my son's fund raiser to raise money for the 5th grade Safety Patrol Trip to Washington DC.

The dates will most likely not change, but the location might. I am trying to find a church to have the shows at that will be a larger area than the Lions Club. If the space is larger, then I can have more vendors to participate. I am in the final planning stage for these events. I will be making deposits and confirming everything within the next week. I will update you with all the information.

The vendor fee will be $60 per 8 ft table. Remember this is a 2 - day event. I will have tables available or vendors can bring their own table. I am also going to ask for each vendor to donate 1 item that is of $25 value (if possible) for a silent auction. This will raise money for the fund raiser for the Safety Patrol Trip to Washington DC.

These events will be heavily advertised. The local papers and TV news channels are wanting to do stories about the fund raiser and the safety patrol students. This should help to get the community to support the events.

Let me know if you are interested in being a vendor and I will go ahead and add you to the vendor list. With limited spaces, the show will most likely fill up fast.
