After taking a couple years off from Event Coordinating, having attended plenty of weddings in between, I am here to say… having a coordinator is absolutely 100% essential.

Small things beyond the large and obvious things that planners do:

• Make sure your family and friends actually get to be in the day, not stressed out running it
• Hold the processional because someone’s still in the bathroom
• Reroute the vendor who shows up at the wrong door
• Fix the boutonniere that fell off before anyone notices
• Buffer you from ever hearing “the linens are late”
• Manage family seating drama so smoothly you never knew it happened
• Track tip envelopes so they land in the right hands
• Sweep the venue for lost rings and phones before the lights go off
• Look calm while solving five problems at once behind your back 💁🏻‍♀️
