Weekend snaps from Scout - we’re always up to something new at the bookshop! Come check out our new chalkboard that Brianna Cooper is helping us decorate. Lots of wonderful restocks from local makers (like Myra amazing buoys) and of course new books and displays. We’re not mentioning the F word (🍂fall🍁) buttttt, change is in the air, and we do enjoy the energy a new season provides.

Let’s celebrate our local authors! Cherie Biddle is launching her first children’s book, “Peek-A-Boo Moon” full of beautiful watercolor illustrations from Alaskan artist, Olivia Turner. See you Wednesday, August 26th!

From Cherie:

“This is my first published book. My dad (Smokey Stover ) also wrote a book so I’m 2nd generation to publish. I was born & raised in Kodiak. Since I shook hands with the last man to walk on the moon, I see it in a much different light.”
