Tomorrow Sept. 5th we will be closed for the Labor Day weekend. We will reopen Tuesday the 8th at 10am. We sure appreciate all the love that Kokomo has shown us this past month. Fundraisers, corporate events, and just the love in the store has been incredible. Thank you 🙏🏼 🍿

We are needing to close just for the day. When I got home from the Cafe’ yesterday, we had about 5-6” of standing water in our basement. As of about 1:30 this morning, the water is now out, and the restoration team should be here this morning at 8am to begin. Our best option to get our water out, was to open the drain on our back deck, and adding an additional main pump, which sends the water into our pool. That then creates the pool to fill up with water, and we are backwashing that into our side yard about every hour. It’s a process that we will be keeping up all day today. Prayers for minimal upcoming rain. Our pump is running almost constantly to keep up with the level now. We could be in a way worse situation, so we are counting our blessing, and getting ourselves put back together.

Just an update from yesterday and leaving early. I came home to about 5-6" of standing water in our basement. We spent until 1:30 this morning waiting for the water to pump out. Our best option was to loosen the pressure on a drain by our pool, which then releases it all into the pool, and we backwash about every hour to drain that water in our side yard. It's a process that we are still keeping up, because the pump isn't slowing down with the water levels as high as they are. Restoration team arrived right on time this morning, and they are starting to take up our flooring, trim and partial drywall. We could be in a much worse situation, so we are counting our blessing, and getting ourselves back on our feet today. We are closing just for the day, and will be back at it again tomorrow.
