It’s done! I just finished this Texas quilt. It is the first one I ever pieced. I wanted to machine quilt it myself, but felt I lacked the skills to do it to my satisfaction. I finally attempted it and I’m happy with the results. The main panel features freehand (not free motion) echo quilting, the squares of the inner border have stars, and the outer border has wandering ropes, which are coiled in the corners. The backing is bordered as well, which turned out to be another daunting feat to get it aligned with the front. It measures 42 x 58 (lap size).

The backing is also cute as can be with scenery depicting the song titles, “Mary Had a Little Lamb”, “You Are My Sunshine” and Home on the Range.” This quilt is perfect for a baby quilt, toddler or pre-k nap quilt, wall hanging or even a lap quilt for a favorite teacher. It’s been washed in a small amount of gentle detergent and salt water to set the colors and dried in the dryer on medium heat. So, it is already soft and ready for cuddle time. I am offering this darling quilt to you, first, before I list it in my Etsy shop, QuiltsbyDRose. The quilt measures 37x45. For you only, the price is $125 + tax & shipping.
