New in the shop:: quilted table runners from Ruthie’s Quilts. These beautifully made runners have such exquisite color choices; Ruthie really has an eye for color. Her husband Ken is a tin smith and makes ornaments that he sells in the shop during the holidays, so it’s been nice having Ruthie’s work here too. Open today from 10-6 in Kutztown

Celebrating Kennedy today with a make-your-own stress ball craft. It’s always a pleasure hosting a party for a repeat patron!

After the two other parties scheduled for November, I won’t be hosting events for the remainder of the year due to the busy holiday season. I’m also considering whether to continue with birthday parties in the new year, they’re a lot of work when I have to break down my shop and reset it, especially as I get more fragile items here to sell. It will be something for me to think about over the winter.

I made these plaster-covered Halloween buckets last year for the Kutztown Quest for my Studio Ghibli theme and I’m hoping they go home with some fans before Halloween. I used my sons’ plastic Halloween pumpkins that they’ve sadly outgrown and gave them new life. There are also a few Ghibli post earrings from available for fans. Stop by on this KU Homecoming weekend today from 10-4
