I'm from Wisconsin. I know Fennimore and Portage. I was a family farm activist during the 1980s. My biggest selling album is "Farm Country." William Norris was chair of Control Data. In his booklet "Technology and Agriculture," he argued that if the federal government gave technological aid to small and medium-sized farms proportionately to the way they gave it to large corporate farms, the smaller farms could succeed. The same point was made in a short article in the Wall Street Journal. Someone stole that article from my table at the Vernon County Fair.
