[Update] Wool and NCO tresse
Wool:
I have made four shades of wool that’s ideal for M33-43 feldbluse, flight tunic with distinct time specific features.
Composition wise, they’re made of 100% wool. I know that the OGs aren’t 100% wool but the artificial fibers that the Germans add in the fabric back then and what modern fabric industries do now is drastically different. We all know that and we all feel the difference there. Therefore, I decided to go with 100% wool. It feels and behaves more like original in that way than the “plastic” added ones.
Shade:
1. The blueish: commonly seen on feldbluse dated from 1933-1938. Also quite similar to Dutch wool shade, I will leave that option open since I got OG Dutch converted tunic in my collection and the pattern could be made any time.
2. The greenish: commonly seen on feldbluse dated from 1939-1941. Ideal for M40/41/42
3. The Grayish: this shade is more commonly seen since the war economy kicks in which is 1942 onwards.
Ideal for M42/43/44
4. The blueish Luftwaffe shade: Most repros nowadays makes the more purplish Luftwaffe shade. The blueish shade seems to be forgotten completely. Therefore I decided to do something different and here it is.
Feldbluse:
In the past few months, a lot of folks has asked me when the feldbluse will be ready for purchase. As some of you guys might know, I run tests on everything I made. The wools will be tested too and the turnaround time is approximately one and a half to two months. If everything turns out well, we will have it up for sale on July, 4.
NCO Tresse:
Mid-late war gray tresse and DAK tresse are made. I’m running tests on them right now. If everything goes smooth, we will have NCO shoulder boards and NCO uniform tresse sewing service later in the year too.
