A little chilly weather, a whole lot of creativity, and memories made on Main Street! šŸ‚šŸ¤Ž

Yesterdayā€™s Make It on Main was everything I hoped it would be! A day for the ladies to slow down, enjoy a little time for themselves, get creative, and make memories with some of their favorite people on Main Street.

Our bellies were full after a delicious lunch at Main Street Station, where Mike spoiled us with his special touches, including mozzarella cheese dip and a cinnamon-pumpkin bubbly drink that gave us all the fall feels! šŸšŸ„‚

A HUGE thank you to the wonderful ladies who joined us and to our amazing Main Street businessesā€”Main Street Station, And Sew It Began, Bonny Blue Bird Co-Op, Books by the Bay, and Texaconeā€”for helping bring this special day to life.

And of course, thank you to Mother Nature for giving us the most beautiful, chilly fall afternoon to stroll along our historic Main Street!

Days like yesterday remind me why I love bringing people together and supporting the small businesses that make our downtown so special. Itā€™s about more than shopping or crafting. Itā€™s about community, connection, and making memories right here in our neighborhood šŸ§”

Meet The Strand! šŸšŸ„„šŸ’

This specialty snowcone was inspired by my own taste buds and my love for a beach vacay!

This specialty snowcone has piƱa colada, coconut and cherry syrups plus a scoop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream, fresh pineapple chunks, coconut flakes, whipped cream, and of course, a cherry on top!

I named it after the historic Strand in Galveston, a city known for its coastal charm and now home to one of the nationā€™s busiest cruise ports.

Because sometimes you donā€™t need to book a cruise to get a little taste of vacation, maybe a visit at the TEX can bring you a little bit of joyšŸ¤ šŸ

Grab your girlfriends and come Make It on Main! Join us Saturday, October 17 for an entire day of creativity, community, and small-town charm on Main Street in La Porte, Texas.

Inspired by the hobbies our grandmothers loved, Make It on Main is a curated Main Street experience filled with hands-on classes, shopping, good food, and a little something sweet. You'll spend the day strolling from one local business to the next, learning new skills and making something to take home along the way.

Your ticket includes:
* 2.5 hour sewing class at And Sew It Began
* 1-hour Succulent class at The Bonny Bluebird Co-op
* 1-hour Cookie decorating at Books by the Bay
And a sweet treat of your choice from Texacone Snowcones and Ice Cream

All class supplies are included and full class description can be found under our "Discussions" tab on the Facebook group page!

We'll kick off at Main Street Station at 11am for check-in and lunch. Lunch is purchased separately, so order whatever sounds good and get to know your fellow makers before we head out for the afternoon.
Throughout the day, we've intentionally built in time to stroll, shop, and explore Main Street, because Make It on Main is about more than craftingā€”it's about slowing down, trying something new, supporting local businesses, and making memories together.
