π™Žπ™€π™§π™—π™šπ™©π™šπ™¨, a traditional Filipino style ice cream often nicknamed "dirty ice cream".

When planning our baby shower, it was very important to us that our guests had a great time + stayed as cool as can be. As we thought about what to serve for dessert, we thought an ice cream vendor would be the perfect fit!

We chose Cookies & Cream and Queso (a popular cheese flavored ice cream in the Philippines). Our guests were skeptical of the Queso flavor as it's a cheese flavored ice cream and boy were they in for a surprise! They absolutely loved it AND finished it lol

In the Philippines a small convenience store is called a π’”π’‚π’“π’Š π’”π’‚π’“π’Š 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆 and in Mexico a bakery is called a π‘·π’‚π’π’‚π’…π’†π’“π’Šπ’‚. Our idea was to have an assortment of snacks & pastries representing our cultures as food is a big part of how we come together to celebrate πŸ₯³

+ the highlight of our dessert table: π™Žπ™€π™§π™—π™šπ™©π™šπ™¨, a traditional Filipino style ice cream often nicknamed "dirty ice cream". For our flavors we chose Cookies & Cream and Queso. They were both extremely delicious and kept our guests cool in this summer heat πŸ₯΅ Thank you for your excellent service, we can't wait to have you again!

We are so blessed to have a family that LOVES to cook and bake! 90% of the food and snacks we had were home made! πŸ˜‹

Ready to π’”π’‘π’Šπ’π’ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒆𝒂 πŸ§‹

Truth be told, I wasn't planning on hosting a gender reveal party as I wanted to focus my time and energy on the baby shower. However, after telling our family we were expecting our first child, everyone got extremely excited and asked when the gender reveal was going to be.

After thinking about it for some time, we realized we can do something "simple" and we're so glad we did!! (I promise I held myself back lol).

Our first hire was who did an AMAZING job capturing the entire event - we simply could not have captured a fraction of what she did that day. The photos she captured of the actual reveal + photos with family members were stunning and we will hold them close to our heart.

A huge thank you to every single person involved in making this event come to life. My parents who are simply the best and cooked the bombest meal, my sister who gifted me a whole "mommy era" basket (it was so darn cute and unexpectedπŸ₯Ί), and the presence of our loved ones 🫢🏼

Did I really order a separate cake just because I didn't want to cut into the Boba cake for the gender reveal? YES, yes I did lol. The boba cake was a cookies and cream flavored cake with cookies and cream filling and it was delicious! πŸ˜‹

For the gender reveal cake we wanted a classic vintage white heart with gold lettering (hubby's request) - if it's a boy, it would be blueberry flavored and if it's a girl, it would be strawberry flavored.

I have had this boba cake saved in my Pinterest board for YEARS. I would tell my hubby, "One day I want to host an event with a boba theme - idk for what occasion, but I want to serve boba".

Fast forward to a few months ago when I discovered I was expecting my first baby. I suddenly blanked out and had no idea what theme I wanted to do (if you know me, I have a list of themes I want to do for my babies lol). After talking to my mom and hubby, I realized this was the perfect opportunity for me to cater boba and center the theme around it :D

Shout out to who made me the most delicious and CUTE boba cake. She even made it look like there was Milk Tea and boba in the straw. Talk about detail! 😍

The drinks were served in personalized "Team Boy" or "Team Girl" cups ❀️

I requested my family members to bring a book for the baby to start their book wall + write a sweet message on a bookmark. It was the best request I could've made - reading their messages brought the happiest tears 🫢🏼πŸ₯Ί

A little 𝒄𝒖-𝒕𝒆𝒂 is on the way πŸ§‹

I have a little confession that I'd like to share with you all: this is the first time I get the opportunity to plan and design a Gender Reveal and it just so happens to be 𝐌𝐘 gender reveal!!

As a boba lover I just HAD to do a "Spill the Tea" theme. As I was planning this intimate gathering, I thought it would be fun for my family to cast their vote on what they think the baby will be as they entered. What do you think baby will be?
