Tomorrow evening is the big start for the Whiskers Catfish and Bullhead Tournament on Lake Redstone. Below is the official rules sheet. Sign up is available at the bait shop till 5 pm tomorrow and starts again at 6 am Saturday morning at the North End boat ramp. Look forward to seeing all those great catches!!!

I often get asked about why I have so many musky baits for sale in the shop. The fact is, our area has some pretty awesome musky fishing spots. The local Baraboo River has been producing the majority of the catches lately and is such a great place for anyone to access from shore. Lake Redstone holds some high caliber fish, although known for its challenging bite. I’m always happy to talk musky and am happy to offer pointers and spots to help my customers go after that catch of a lifetime. Stop in and let’s chat!

Mark your calendars, and plan to attend this family fun fishing event! I’ve been hearing some stories of some pretty nice cat fish being caught around the lake lately so why not turn it into some cash. Early sign up is available at the bait shop this year as well as extended night time fishing hours. Can’t wait to see everyone’s big catches.

The musky are biting!!!!

First, congratulations to Dave, on this beautiful 38” Lake Redstone Musky caught on a 9/6 Stagger Blade Weg’s Wallbanger.

Second, congratulations to Ronni, on her first ever musky, 40” caught on a black bucktail at Governor Dodge Park. Great catch Ronni and I have no doubt you’re hooked on muskies for the rest of your life now!!!!!
