We have some unfortunate news regarding our May 2nd opening in time for Free Comic Book Day. Due to contractor delays, we are not going to be ready in time. While we remained optimistic through last week, we have decided that we cannot put our best foot forward by this date.

However, do not fear. We will still be hosting Free Comic Book Day in Lafayette TN, just at a slightly later date. We apologize for this delay, but we hope you are willing to wait a few weeks longer as we continue to try and bring something special to our community.

Another beautiful Saturday, another day of doing all we can to attempt to hit our goal. While we still have a few days to go til the halfway point, we will go ahead and say this will be a photo finish if our contractors are able to finish in time it appears.

Have no fear however, Free Comic Book Day will happen again in Lafayette this year as most of our supply has already arrived. Even if it may have to be slightly late this year. We thank you for your patience and support this far, and we look forward to what is to come soon.

We asked for some good weather and so far we are greatful for what we have received. A major blocker was cleared for us today as we continue full steam ahead. Plenty of work still to go though with only 31 days left to accomplish our goal. Will we make it?

We are still making solid progress, so our silence at the moment is focused effort on our remodel. We are hoping for a long streak of nice rain free days next month to complete some exterior work in time for Free Comic Book Day.

Please stay tuned to our page as we are working hard to bring something that we and the Lafayette community can be proud of. Which includes even more events like our annual "Free Comic Book Day" and "Trick or Read" events.

As we move ever slowly closer to our hopeful opening date, we want to keep things moving as much as we can. One thing as we move forward is getting our customers more information on one of our core products, comics! We are proud to offer a new monthly magazine targeted at spreading this information starting next month with "Comics! The Magazine" Issue #1.

If you are a local business in the Macon County area with a lobby, we would love to add you to our list to periodically distribute copies of "Comics! The Magazine" and other free reading materials to your lobby guest.

It's been awhile since we have posted, but rest assured we are still around and working hard on our physical location here in Lafayette TN. We just haven't had any big news to share towards that progress, until today. Our contractor has given us great news about getting to the next stage of progress. While it's taken much longer than we would have liked, 2026 is going to be our year!

We thank each and every one of you who have supported us online and at the local events we have ran or participated in thus far, and we look forward to seeing you this year for Free Comic Book Day hosted at our very own storefront in Lafayette TN!
