End of Day 1 at Ontario Comic Con ✨

Had so much fun today meeting people, talking comics, art, storytelling, and sharing the world of The Forgotten Earth with new people. Seeing people stop by the table, flip through the preview book, and connect with my story means so much. The best part was also connecting with other creators on a similar journey 🥰

Big thank you to everyone who came by, grabbed a preview, signed up for the mailing list, or just stopped to chat for a bit. After spending so much time creating this world, it’s surreal finally sharing it in person.

Now time to rest my feet and recharge for Day 2 😆🔥

After a year of world building and spending the last couple of months sketching, rewriting, and late nights… I’m finally sharing the first public preview of my sci-fi graphic novel:

THE FORGOTTEN EARTH: THE SEED OF MEMORY 🌎✨

You can now download and read the first 35-page preview for free on my website. www.dianepascual.com as well as joining my newsletter for when the final book launches! I’ll be adapting this into Webtoons in the next month so join my newsletter for updates!

Set in a future Sedona where history has been erased, the story follows 18-year-old Sacha Avari as she begins uncovering mysterious signals hidden inside ancient technology — leading her toward a buried truth the world was never meant to remember.

Inspired by stories like The Matrix, Blade Runner, Nausicaä, and the mystery of lost civilizations, this project has been living in my head for years, and it honestly feels surreal to finally share it.(And conspiracy theories I got obsessed about 🤣)

The full graphic novel is currently in color production. Set for summer 2026 release. All independently produced and published!

A few years ago, I hit burnout from client work.

Long hours, constant deadlines, and no real break. I wanted time freedom.

So I started experimenting with digital products — not as a big plan, just as a way to create differently.

Over time, it turned into something sustainable.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about craft.

Not the hustle of producing more, but the quiet practice of getting better at something over time.

Working on my comic book art again reminded me of how important it is to return to the things that first made us love creating.

What are thumbnails? Small, tiny sketches that help you to get your ideas down quickly!

Sketching is a thinking tool, judge your drawings too early and eliminate opportunities for exploration.

Seeing all the 10 year photos from 2016, I had to join!
How so much has changed over the years!

I’m a big BELIEVER that DREAMS come true. Let’s put this energy out into 2026!! ✨

2016 was the year my brand The Gypsy Goddess was created when I started painting backgrounds and patterns in Photoshop… what started off as an experiment creating designs evolved into Tie-Dye shaped Photoshop brushes that I started selling passively on Creative Market. After creating many products later… I started licensing my work with various companies, then came licensing with SHEIN, and an invite to speak at Adobe SKO in 2024.

What an amazing ride the last 10 years have been. So fortunate to have these experiences and the many friends that colored my life.

Hope your last 10 years are amazing, looking forward to an exciting 2026! Cheers 🥂🎉
