Well, it's going to rain for the first time since forever this weekend. Lots of events in south Louisiana have been postponed but the SugarFest carries on! The clever folks at the West Baton Rouge Museum have planned ahead and the whole thing is moving indoors. The vendors - including BCBG - will be high and dry just next door in the Community Center. The Juke Joint Stage has been moved only few feet away to INDOORS inside the Juke Joint, so all that good music is still happening.

Announcing the first collaboration of the guitar department and clock department at BCBG! The guitar has an oak neck, mahogany fretboard, black hardware and a single coil pickup. Sounds great, too. Special thanks to Gary at Bailey's Cigar Room for the very neat and very limited USA 250th boxes!

It's less than 2 weeks until the West Baton Rouge Museum's annual SugarFest. As always, the music line-up is great and Kenny Neal will make his return to the stage after recovering from his heart attack back in June. Come on out and welcome Kenny back!

It's been crazy hot in the garag...I mean the BCBG lab. Luckily the clock department mostly works in air conditioned comfort. But it's about time to get back to guitars.

If you miss us at the West Baton Rouge Museum SugarFest on October 4th (and there's no reason why you should) or just can't get enough of our cigar box goodness we'll be at the historic Poche Plantation in Convent October 24th and 25th for their annual arts, crafts and music shindig!! See, we're all fancy and educational showing up at museums and historic plantations...

Here's another cigar box guitar in the movies. WC Fields played various cigar box instruments - usually fiddle or...I guess this is a cello(?) - both in his vaudeville acts and later on screen. He had a routine where he juggled cigar boxes, too. If anyone has ever seen me leaving Bailey's with a pile of them, it was a lot like that.

This is a nice playing guitar and it looks good, too. A nice simple clean look. Humbucker pickup, oak neck and mahogany fretboard.
