One chapter is closing…but a beautiful new one is about to begin. 💙

Next week, I’m honored to hand over the keys to three wonderful women who are bringing a brand-new gift shop to this special location.

Carmen Vidrine and Brandy Schaaf, along with Amy Lemoine, owner of The Pink Paisley, will soon open Bayou Bleu Gifts!

While Bayou Bleu will be an entirely new store with its own personality, the girls know how much this community has loved shopping here. They plan to continue carrying many of the products you have come to know and love—while also filling the store with exciting new brands, beautiful gifts, and plenty of fresh surprises.

It means so much to know that this location will continue to be a place where people gather, browse, laugh, and find just the right gift for someone they love.

Goodbye, Silver…hello, Bleu. 💙

One last prayer before turning the page 🤍

The doors I’ve opened thousands of times. The shelves I’ve filled, rearranged, and filled again.
A little store that has been such a big part of my life for 18 years.

There are a lot of emotions in letting go of something you’ve poured so much of yourself into. But if I’m honest, the hardest part isn't the store.

It's the people.

The people who became familiar faces, and then friends. The families I watched grow through the years. The customers who came in looking for the perfect gift and somehow stayed long enough to share a piece of their lives with me. The celebrations I got to be a tiny part of. The hard seasons people walked through. The stories, the laughter, the tears, the hugs, the “I thought of you when I saw this,” and the countless little moments that probably seemed ordinary at the time but meant so much to me.

You let me be part of your lives, and in so many ways, you became part of mine. That's what I'll carry with me.

Eighteen years is a long time. My husband, Joseph, helped me move furniture so much I lost track-here, downtown, next door. Hunter, my 19-year-old son, was just 7 months old when I first walked through these doors. My 15-year-old daughter, Avery, worked this past year and wow-was she a natural. This chapter has been so much more than a business. My family lived and breathed it next to me. It has been relationships, memories, lessons, growth, hard days, beautiful days, and a whole lot of life lived inside these four walls. I'm incredibly grateful I got to live this chapter.

And now, it's time to turn the page.

Thank you for trusting me, supporting me and my family, encouraging me, laughing with me, shopping with me, letting me wrap all the gifts, and most of all, for letting me be a small part of your stories.

I hope you know how much you have been a part of mine.
