Two estate sales ( Peddling Post and Alabama Estate Sales if either of these two companies have a sale close to you, you need to go) and three yard sales later and this is everything that came home with me. Mom got a good bit too but it's not pictured. Her's is mainly practical useful items. We make a great team. She found the awesome brass reindeer stocking holders in the bottom of boxes of Christmas. They are heavy and very nice. The quilts are phenomenal and the front one is staying with me for sure. The WWII Army small first aid kit is a keeper too and not for sale. Did you go pickin today? Show me a treasure you scored.

Here she is in all her glory. The haul from the Peddling Post digger/picker sale today. We were there for over two hours going through everything and I know there's still more finds waiting for people the next three days. I didn't get the corningware until the last 30 minutes. Yes I sat in the floor of the kitchen to see what was in the very back of the cabinets. Then proceeded to pull these beauties out. You have to look high and low to dig out the good stuff. Do you keep a flashlight on hand for estate sales? I try to keep a bag of all the items I might need.

When one of your favorite companies says its a picker house you show up early with flashlight and bags in hand. Peddling Post we definitely understood the assignment. As always it was a blast with some of the best workers in the business. I'll do a haul shot later. Mom even racked up on new wrapped toys/coloring books for the Christmas toy giveaway she helps with.

I'm so happy with the way the booth flip came together today. My son was off and helped bring down some new pieces of furniture for me. I worked on our booth Sweet Pickins in Alabama for over 4 hours. My friends Vance Tipton and Sheila of House on Villa on YouTube stopped by so I got to visit for a few minutes while I took a quick break. This job has so many perks but one of the greatest is the friends you make along the way. Y'all look them up. Pickin adventures and home remodeling all in one place. Now for the pictures. It feels more like all of me and my many different interests now.

We made it to one estate sale yesterday and walked away extremely happy with our finds. We were number 7&8. When they started splitting the line between basement and front door I had planned to hit the basement first to get the big crock but last minute decided to stay at the front door. I had mom on the mission for the rose medallion bowl and gorgeous antique vegetable tureens that were grouped together on a table. I headed to the camera/clock room for the clock parts and other treasures on the bookshelves. I headed to the basement hopeful that the crock was still available. There she was under the workbench still full of scrap wood. I was shocked to see just how big she was. Expecting a no 8 and finding a no 10. I think the reason she was still there was her size and how heavy she was. Then came the fun part, after we get the target items we get to play hide and seek with what is still hidden away. What would you have gone for first?

Last night was auction night. We go once a month. We always have a lot of fun and come home with some interesting stuff....

Last night was auction night. We go once a month. We always have a lot of fun and come home with some interesting stuff. I usually get a few pieces of furniture but this time just the little cute table. I love the 5 and 10 cents candy bar boxes. Greg got a few pieces for projects. The pulleys are the perfect industrial vibe. The shoe press would make a great pair of bookends of I decide to cut them in half. We will see. Do you like to go to auctions? Do you get cought up in the bidding frenzy?

Who else loves a good digger/picker estate sale? I know I do. Nothing was priced and we had to do the work to find the treasures. It definitely feels like a true treasure hunt when you pull out the good stuff. Those vintage Shiny Brite Christmas ornaments were one of the top finds. There were tons of cookbooks and booklets from specific brands with all the great advertising I love so much. Most of these treasures will be going to Vintage Market Days of N. Alabama. We are definitely working hard to bring the goods.
