Wow that was a long day.....we waited over 4 hours for this sale to open. We were there at 4:40 and still were no. 7 and 8. I knew it would be a popular sale. It was full of Hens on nests, a second single bee box and a ton of butter related items. Oddly I did not find any butter pats. The pie safe sold to a wish list customer as did the lite brite and the yoyo quilts are pending. Tell me, what is your favorite. Can you pick just one? I know I can't

A quick little on scene video for everyone. The haul photos are coming in a few hours. Yoyo quilts are pending. I will mark in the haul photos if sold or not for sale. Debating on keeping the pie safe. It is gorgeous.

When the estate sale pictures look this good you know the lines will get crazy....you get up at 3:45 and head out. We are anxiously waiting to see what treasures we find. Wish us luck.

Got the heat gun out and peeled all of that nasty old contact paper from this sweet little table.

Not everyone will see the beauty in this piece but I do. I love the pieces that are all chippy layers of different colors. They didn't just strip the old paint off they painted over it, I like to think they added to it. Built on the foundation that was already there. When they start to chip and show the different layers of colors I see all the different families and lives it was a part of.

Bought this fantastic antique book at an estate sale this weekend. It was falling apart but the I prints inside were too beautiful to leave behind. Got home and pulled out my stash of vintage brass frames and here are the results. I think they are fantastic and would be amazing additions to a gallery wall. Do you buy books to use the illustrations to make artwork?

In this business relationships are so important. I've made connections and friendships with so many other resellers, buyers and estate sale companies. One of my favorites reached out to me about coming by after an estate sale on clean up day. I try to save all the gorgeous pieces I can. These beauties are making their Yellowhammer Antiques debut tomorrow.

Greg and I were finally able to go on one of our pickin adventures again this weekend. Between long hours at work for him and no energy for me it has been a couple of months. It was very needed and oh so successful too. Backroads riding is my favorite. We have some really cool finds for y'all.

It was another one and done today. We ended up with the shelves at our first stop and had no more room for another sale. Mom once again rode home on top of the furniture. (Luckily we were close to home, she insists.) I sold a piece of furniture in one of the booths yesterday and needed a good display piece to fill the hole. This one will do perfectly. I chose this sale first because of the German pipe smokers. I love German erzgebirge wooden pieces. Once again the rain tried to stop my photoshoot, luckily I'm stubborn.

We had plans to go to several different estate sales today but we only made it to one. Sometimes that is the way it goes. But I did get a fantastic haul. That gorgeous cabinet needs a little work. It will be available for purchase at The Cozy Nest Rustik Bucket Vintage Market September 11th-12th.
