Golden Avenue is officially 1 year old. Can you believe it?
This opportunity presented itself in the most special but busiest year of my life. Chase and I were a few months from our wedding. I decided to leave my corporate job to open this vintage collective part time and return to the non-profit space part time. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. In the midst of wedding planning, I was also planning to open a store. We had our soft opening September 26th. Exactly one month from our wedding reception. We opened officially October 1. Looking back, I have no idea how we did it, but I’m glad we did.
Here’s a few of my favorite photos from the very beginning. When I look back at this photos, I’m reminded of how much life we brought into this space.
We made it through the first year because of the community of people who believes in sustainable fashion and supporting local. Thank you to every one of you. I am full of gratitude to have made it as a small business in the year 2026.
We’re going to keep doing this as long as we can. Sustainable shopping is not a trend, it’s something we will keep doing as long as you guys keep coming.
