Featured Game Friday!

This week is featuring one of my new favorite games: Harmonies. 😍 If I had the time, I would play this one every day!

In this game, you’re drafting groups of tiles to build habitats for your animals. The goal is to find animals that can live in… you guessed it… harmony!

It can play up to four players and it also has a solo mode that is challenging and also beautiful.

(And don’t just take my word for it. Harmonies is consistently listed as a best selling and most played game on Board Game Geek.)

Attention:

We are closed for Labor Day weekend.

While we don’t normally intend to be closed on holidays, we have some prior commitments that require us to be closed for the weekend.

So sorry we’ve missed the past Featured Game Fridays! Let me explain-

We have been working our way through a cooperative deck building story game based on Avatar: The Last Airbender. It’s been a challenge but we’re almost there!

You can check out Aang’s Destiny in-store. And if Avatar isn’t your speed, a) it should be 😜, and b) we also have similar style games based on:

It’s Tuesday, which means Trading Card Game Tuesday!

And, have you heard? We have Magic cards 🥳 We received a (small) allotment of Marvel Magic cards in-store. We are hopeful that if there is interest in these cards, we will be able to bring in a bigger variety soon.

Our apologies to anyone who has tried calling the store recently and getting static. We just discovered that one of the attachments on our phone was interfering with receiving calls 😅 It has been resolved!

Featured Game Friday 🚨

This week: Waddle

Waddle (noun): a group of penguins walking together on land 🐧

Who doesn’t love penguins?! In this game, you place your penguins to form the largest waddle and be near the best fishing holes. This game is compact, easy to learn, and plays in about 20 minutes. Plus the board changes every time you play so it stays interesting!
