Sometimes in life we're fortunate enough to meet and befriend a beautiful and pure hearted being. Someone who loved to love and would often put the wants and needs of another in front of her own .

Someone who's joy in life came from sharing wisdom , love , caring , laughs and inspiration to all who had the honor to meet her.
Barbara or Barb or "B" , as I affectionately called her , was such a being.

I met Barb over twenty years ago when she was working at a wonderful non profit called the learning light foundation. I was selling crystals at the time and she was the "buyer" for their retail store. We instantly bonded and shared many wonderful visits together over the years leading up to the day when I ( and my wife at the time , Jesseca ) purchased a little store in Laguna hills , called Awakenings.

Shortly there after I called Barb to see if she would have any interest to come on down to Laguna hills and help in this new venture . She enthusiastically agreed and soon became a queen of all trades:
store manager , intuitive reader/healer and respected teacher of a weekly class called exercising your sixth sense .

Even more than that , she became a living breathing part of the heart and soul of the center. She poured every bit of her being into the business as if it was her own .
The love and care she unconditionally gave to the store was equally shared with her personal clients , students , own children and grand children .

I remember when my daughter Serena was around 5 or so. She would love to go behind the counter and play with the register. Some of my employees didn't
" love" that quite as much ( lol ) ,
but B would always welcome her with the biggest smile , set her up on the chair and assist her in checking out the customers.

I could go on forever with examples of her kindness , compassion , joyful zest for life , infectious humor and genuine desire to help others .

I use to joke that she was a female ( and perhaps better ) version of Dr Phil as she would often , with a sly grin and mid west accent , express metaphorical truths about the nature of all things.

It is with great sadness and yet profound gratitude and celebration that I wish my dear friend a joyous next step in her journey to take her place amongst the many angelic beings that she so diligently worked to embody in her time here on the physical.

Love you B and huge thank you"s from my wife/ partner Lori and all the Awakenings Fam . Your legacy shines on , forever ... and a day 💖💖

NEW MOON CACAO CEREMONY - THIS THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16TH 7-9PM

New Moons are the perfect time to set clear intentions, start new projects, bring awareness to the previous months growth, & engage in ritual.
